Just read through your site. One of my two favorite neices. I had to laugh a little at your post. All those "tantrums" is a family trait. Every single one of you wants perfection out of themselves, and can't their own errors. You are right self created frustration is something we all need to work on.
I am looking forward to meeting Scott someday soon. I used to do a little (not too difficult climbing) and would like go out with you guys one weekend. When does it usually get warm enough to climb in the spring? (might leave Jane here)

We have two short trips planed but I am not sure how much working I will be doing next year so I may or may not have a lot of free time. Would love to come see you for a short trip.

Sean-- Can you send an another message that includes your email? It's probably easiest to add a comment to a recent post and then I'll get your address and we chat mountain biking!

Hi Emily, my wife and I tried our hand at mountain biking around Spruce Lake from Sept 26-29, so it looks like you were there just after us.

We got spanked trying to bite off a route from Gun Creek Road, up Pearson mining road to the beginning of the High Trail (east of the Lick trail) over the first pass into the Eldorado Basin, over Windy and down to Spruce for the night - and just made it after dark.

We couldn't ride most of the trail uphill, and plenty of downhill sections that we had to dismount. Not sure if this is par for the course, or we are way out of our depth.

If you are amenable, I would like to discuss our trip with you more and get some advice for the future because we are new to the sport and have to fly a long way for a mountain biking trip (we live in Bermuda - plenty of rum but only bumps for hills).

Hope to hear from you,

Thanks Sean
