We are experiencing technical difficulties

As much fun as we’ve had bikepacking this year, it was a simple pleasure to jump on some cross country trails on our unloaded bikes.

Good endurance, good power but the technical skills were neglected for most of the season.

Kill Me Thrill Me and Comfortably Numb, two cross country trails in Whistler (one of which designated an “epic” trail by IMBA),  offer excellent technical descents and climbs.

We are experiencing technical difficulties.  Thankfully the remedy is super sweet single track!

A day with no time constraints, no heartrate monitoring, fair weather, views of Alta lake and the Whistler valley and other vistas of the mountains to the North and Blackcomb to the south.  A day to become re-accustomed to technical trails, with a seemingly endless supply of front wheels lofts over steps, roots, logs, and rocks. A day filled with steep climbs and descents on traction-rich granite; Chris Markle’s singletrack design took advantage of every natural feature available, in addition to wooden bridges and skinnies across creeks, rivers, fallen logs, and other sensitive areas.

A good day even with my still missing mojo.
