rolling rolling rolling

our drop zone has reached a critical mass.. we have a place for our keys, our wallets, cell phones, commuting gear, etc, but we were in losing the battle with loose change.  Pi Beta Phi mug for Canadian coins, Road Apple Rally mug for American..

drop-zone

I ate my wheaties, recovered from skiing and riding, considered some performance enhancing drugs, and then tossed all the coins into my jumbo sized Timbuk2 bag, and off to the bank I hiked.  Training has paid off, didn’t require a break in the three block trek. But, our bank no longer takes unrolled coins. Nor does the Safeway, yes, I carried this load four more blocks, and then back to the crib. I was scared of the weight limit in the elevator so I took the stairs. I am now ready to climb Everest sans sherpa.

anyway, on with my mission,

two beers, paper rolls, nickels

Woohoo! Hope that went straight to the beer fund as I’m going to need a beer or four after this work. Thank you for doing this sweetie! Glad the twoonies didn’t break your back.

  • Umm, not sure how to break it to you, but…

Your bank has a machine that will do all of that in, like, 30 seconds. For free.

If you just want to drink some beers, it’s OK, you don’t need an excuse.

Robert, that’s another one of those quaint differences north of the 49th. I took the change to my bank, and they gave me the rolls to roll it with. At least they didn’t charge me for the rolls….
