Day 8 – BC Day

isn’t it nice.. my first week of work in Vancouver starts with British Columbia Day, a statutory holiday.  Not only will I have to adjust to a company where I’ll be working far fewer hours than I’ve become accustomed, but I get to start with a day off

Fireworks on English Bay..

Vancouver shared Em’s birthday with the entire city via the Celebration of Light in English Bay. We rode over the Lion’s Gate bridge into Stanley Park (did I mention that this will be my regular commuting route, along the seawall?) to enjoy the festivities.
