Yours truly, Parents, and JoJo (niece)

Marg for me, but Dad would get along well with Michelle in Golden (or at least drink her beer that his uppity son turns his nose up to)

Bring on the goodies

Followed by more goodies

and even more..

I miss good oranges and real seafood.
killing me. There was a huge orchard next to my parents’ neighborhood the last time that I visited. It is now a huge construction site that huge homes are going to sprout from.. my request for tonight’s dinner was sloppy, messy seafood
Ok, so I missed it. Whereabouts in Florida are you?
The photo by the lake really brought me back to Valdosta, Georgia where I was stationed in the Air Force. And riding in Tallahassee. Good stuff indeed.
Ever catch a Gar? I wonder what they look like in person.
And, finally: Dude! Bud & seafood are like peas & carrots!
I’m in Bradenton (near Sarasota). I spent Sunday in Jacksonville (some pix that haven’t made it up yet)..
I don’t think that I’ve ever caught a gar, sorry..
Dude, I considered the Bud, but the Marg was top shelf.
Thank goodness someone’s posting for us losers sitting at home recovering from viral nastiness.
Catching a gar is totally gnar dude.
It’s snowing in CO again, no snow globe required
Have fun, eat well and be safe! Happy New Year!
Ed
Bewars of the Alligators!
Okay, I hardly recognized you in that pic above. Guess I’ve never seen you with your hair combed before!
J. I knew there was a reason I didn’t send you a christmas card this year
Gators get eaten there.. I couldn’t convince JoJo to try the gator balls, and none of us ordered the Redneck Platter (fried mullet, gator something-or-other, hush puppies, and some other fried treat..)
I’d order a redneck platter, but that’s because I’m one of those NorFla rednecks.
h – I learn new things everyday. Before today, I didn’t know that Gators grew on vines, or bushes, or roots, or whatever else you vegetable-only eating rednecks allow yourselves to grub on..
That looks like a fine way to spend the holidays! The cold here in LA (made worse by the wind and lack of snow) has me thinking that Winters in FLA are gonna sound even better when I’m retired, and it sounds pretty damn appealing right now. The MTBing would leave much to be desired, but at least these old bones would be warm and I could wear shorts year-round. BTW, the best way to catch a gar is to catch a small bream (a.k.a. sunfish) and leave it on the hook in the water. But why? They’re not exactly good eatin’.
The garage is done, and as soon as I get it all organized and finish Donna’s Bandersnatch build, I’ll get you those Gunnar parts and we can talk about that project. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
- Joe
everyone looks great! colorado was beautiful, but a few days were too windy, i.e. white out conditions! eww… ariana is a pretty good skier!
c. they’re all doing well. and they said hi and hoped that you are doing well
Joe.. You’d miss the snow (at least for the first year). There is some nice riding to be had n FL,depending on where you ended up at. But, I see you out fishing for gar, wearing shorts. I hope that Donna, H, and yourself had a great Christmas and New Years! Post up some pix of that garage. Face it, once you get that organized, you’re never leaving it. Has to be the closest thing to a super garage. All brew crew rides are from your place from now on
