KTR is coming up quickly, making it difficult to find a balance between riding and tapering.. Last night I took the cross bike and lights out on a few of the bike paths in north Denver for a couple of hours, and felt pretty good. Tonight I took the walt out to Lair of the Bear (first time that I have ever ridden it from the LotB parking lot. I didn’t even recognize it until we got close to Mt. Falcon.
Loaded down and ready for KTR..

I cleaned the wall on the my first attempt, and then flailed on the next two attempts

Enjoying the evening, stopping for some flowers..

all in all, a good ride. the weather was nice, just a touch warmer than cool. My legs felt pretty good, it was hard to stay reined in and keep the heart rate down. The bike felt really good, even with three water bottles. This bike rides so well, whether I’m climbing or descending..
See you friday!
see ya there… i’m finally getting a little amped
PhD aside, you are a very smart man. 3rd water bottle mount is one hellofa damn good choice! That one extra bottle makes all the difference in the world.
it would’ve been great, next time though I need to remember a velcro strap, it can bounce out on long, rough downhills
Use the King Stainless cage. I don’t use a strap. But if still trouble for you use the shorter 21-oz bottles without the narrow diameter grip.

Ok…I’ve wasted enough of your time.
